Background

The Pulse World journey started in 2013 when the founders were introduced to the EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) franchise industry. With access to their own manufactured Wireless EMS equipment called Pulse-EMS manufactured in Europe and also Pulse-BIA (Bio-Electrical Impedance Analysis) State of the art Body Composition Analysis Technology, the founders decided to launch the Pulse Clubs franchise. Pulse-BIA and Pulse-EMS devices are exclusively available to Pulse Club brand partners and are both CE Certified, FCC Certified and FDA Approved.

While working their way up in the industry to gain an understanding of the different service offerings, marketing platforms, and the latest trends in equipment, the founders realised that exclusivity is what sets the various franchise concepts in the health and fitness industry apart. Pulse Clubs are unique in their ability to offer wireless group training classes for up to 30 participants per training session. 

They hope to develop Pulse Clubs into a worldwide brand and to capture the market with their very special and exclusive franchise offering. 

The concept under the spotlight

The Pulse Club franchise offering comprises three different business models defined as Pulse Club, which accommodates four to six clients per training slot, Pulse Mega Club accommodating up to ten clients per training slot and Pulse Master License that covers the entire region exclusively. Pulse Clubs use an automated and user-friendly business system with comprehensible software that includes a debit order system and mobile app licence. The Pulse Mobile App accommodates client data management, bookings and marketing content management.

Pulse aims to innovate the improvement of human health, based on cutting-edge technological developments. The BIA Mobile App allows clients to track and monitor their results on the move anywhere and anytime. 

Their target market includes anyone who desires rapid fat loss, immediate cellulite reduction, fast muscle building and increased strength as well as injury recovery programmes such as to eliminate back pain, posture or muscular imbalance modification, and improved overall health and endurance.

Location is one of the most important aspects of the franchise and for this reason they target LSM 8-10 areas. Outlets are between 80 and 180sqm with open plan training areas for the group training platform, as well as body assessment rooms, fitting rooms and reception areas are well fitted with required furniture and branding.

The staffing structure will depend on the franchise model selected and will range from two trainers for a Pulse Club outlet, to three trainers for Pulse Mega Club outlet and four trainers for the Pulse Master License

Consider your support

Pulse World provides ongoing training and support. Area Support Managers make weekly Club visits and training workshops are conducted once a quarter where brand partners, managers and trainers are appraised of the latest marketing content and skills. The quarterly workshops also incorporate a Train the Trainer Course with practical assessments conducted by specialised and qualified trainers, equipment training courses, systems- and customer satisfaction training. 

Franchise procurement and marketing is controlled by the franchisor. Content creation and distribution is done on a biweekly basis and includes radio advertising-, social media marketing, newsletters, Google AdWords, and magazine platform marketing.
