Background
In 1907, Giuseppe Morelli arrived in England and started selling homemade gelato from the back of his bicycle, eventually arriving at the bustling English seaside resort of Broadstairs. 

Over the next three generations, the Morelli family opened their first ice cream parlour in Broadstairs near the site where Giuseppe’s bicycle had originally stood. The Morelli business expanded locally, regionally and nationally into a successful coffee chain and, finally, by Marino Morelli and his daughter Bibi, into a magnificent ice cream parlour in the world-famous Harrods store, delighting customers for the next decade. 

In 2003, Bibi Morelli, the 5th generation business leader, launched Morelli’s Gelato as a luxury ice cream franchise business. Morelli’s Gelato has since opened successful stores in Europe and the Middle East, and it is now expanding in the Far East and the Americas. As a family business since 1907, it is historic yet timeless. 

Our brand is aspirational, combining affordability at our entry price points with exclusivity in our spectacular sundaes, unique flagship locations and stylish store designs. Exclusive yet inclusive, we offer something special for everyone. Our goal is to bring the best fresh gelato to our customers worldwide and for the nostalgic pleasure of ice cream to awaken the child in everyone.

Our international expansion includes our stunning Dubai Mall flagship store near the fountains. In addition to fresh gelato served as scoops and retro dessert sundaes, we serve coffees, teas, hot chocolates and milkshakes, hot fresh waffles and crepes with a delicious range of toppings, cakes and sweet treats.
